Technology boldly holds out the promise of new things. It’s amazing what advances in advertising were imagined fifty years ago. Here is a passage written by the successful advertising man James R. Adams in 1958:
I wonder what advertising will be like a hundred years from now…. Within my own time, we have added radio and television…. It is difficult for me to imagine wholly new media entering the picture; but I suppose it was equally difficult, even fifty years ago, to image advertising messages flying though the air.
